Service Committees
Directory
As a service, the Parents’ Club makes every effort to publish an accurate annual directory. Members receive a complimentary copy and may buy additional copies at $10.
Helping Hands
This program provides immediate, short-term support to Miramonte families experiencing a crisis, from providing meals, sending a card, or organizing food for a memorial service. Call when you know of a Miramonte family in need.
Hospitality
A constant presence at Miramonte, this committee provides refreshments at numerous MHS events. Please call if you’d like to help with baked goods.
Parent/Teacher Social
This includes “Picnic on the Green”, held on May 17th at 5:30pm just before Open House at 7pm. This is a time to socialize with both parents & teachers.
Registration (online and at “Mats Day”)
This team helps Miramonte with online registration and prepares students’ packets for, and organizes "Mats Day," when students turn in receipts, get ID photos taken, pick up PE uniforms etc. Many parent volunteers and MHS staff help; it’s a fun chance to be with students & parents.
Staff Appreciation
This committee shows appreciation to our teachers and staff by planning and providing meals & refreshments throughout the school year.
Volunteer Coordinator
This program helps place interested parents in Miramonte volunteer positions. Volunteers report that the experience is rewarding and results in new friendships and closer ties to the school.
Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator is responsible for assisting MHS and AUHSD staff in developing emergency response plans, acquiring emergency equipment and supplies, providing training, and supporting other emergency preparedness activities. The EPC will track and, when possible, coordinate emergency preparedness activities with City of Orinda, OUSD and other local groups. The Coordinator may form a committee to assist with these tasks.
