Senior Parent Party: Savor the Moments
Sunday, May 22nd, 5:00-8:00PM Are the grads the only ones who should be celebrating their last moments in high school? We parents would also like to savor the last moments of high school with the friends we have shared time with from field trips, sporting events, theatre programs, music and all the rest. We have formed a community, and as that experience draws to a close, let's not forget to enjoy ourselves and each other. Our gathering will take place at Ann & Tom Seclow's, 522 Miner Road and will be catered by Dianna Condon. It will be the night after Senior Ball (so we'll all probably have some great stories to share). The price is $30.00 per person and can be purchased on the Miramonte Webstore. =========================================================================
Parent Advisors attend monthly meetings with class officers. They support class activities by arranging for parents to assist with snack shack, Junior Prom, Senior Ball, and Grad Night. The advisors coordinate parent fundraising (such as the Innisbrook wrapping paper fundraiser and Webstore donations) which are used for the Grad Nite celebration and Baccalaureate. They also advise the class officers on student fundraising efforts (e.g. t-shirt sales, car-washes, sale of lei's for graduation, etc) as well as class community service opportunities and socials. The student fundraiser proceeds are used to support class activities and to defray the tremendous expenses of Junior Prom, Senior Ball, Grad Nite, and other graduation activities. Most classes attempt to earn about $60,000 over their four years at Miramonte. |
