Funding Needs

 

How funding decisions are made

In addition to state funding, Miramonte High School receives funding from four other organizations: The Miramonte Parents Club, EFO, Boosters and VPA.

 

The Miramonte High School Coordinating Council includes representatives from each of the four organizations and also School Administrators. Beginning in January, the Coordinating Council Budget Committee compiles the listing of funding requests from teachers and staff that have been approved and prioritized by Department Heads. The various funding organizations then determine which needs they are able to fund. With this coordinated approach, duplication is avoided and funding of the various programs is maximized. A high level summary of funding by organization for 2009-2010 is shown below:
