Miramonte and EFO working together
The three Miramonte parent organizations on campus and Educational Foundation of Orinda (EFO) all work together to support the various programs and activities at Miramonte that otherwise would not be possible through public funding sources. See the Big Picture.
Together,the Miramonte Parents' Club and EFO provide essential funding for annual education costs at Miramonte. On a combined basis, the two organizations provide approximately 7% of the annual academic funding per student.
Miramonte Parents' Club raises money solely for use at Miramonte. The Parents’ Club funding provides for class size reduction by adding academic sections and much needed materials and instructional supplies for classrooms and laboratories. It provides significant funding for student programs and activities as well as lab equipment and classroom technology.
EFO raises money for all schools in Orinda including Miramonte, Orinda Intermediate School, and the four elementary schools. EFO asks for a contribution on a per student basis and allocates funds to each school based on student population, striving to provide the same school experience for each student. EFO also provides funding for enrichment programs and all the visual and performing arts support.
It's so important that all parents support the fundraising campaigns of both Miramonte Parents’ Club and EFO. Every Miramonte teacher and student will benefit!
Boosters is the sole organization that raises funds for after school sports. These funds cover costs for the athletic trainer, weight room supervisor and equipment and supplies for all sports teams.
VPA provides volunteers to support the visual and performing arts programs.
