    GRAD HAT   
     
    The 2016 BACCALAUREATE was a wonderful event - so many talented and resonating student performances. Thanks to all of the family and friends who were able to join us to celebrate this unique senior tradition. Special thanks to the event chairs Melissa Roeder and Ginny Hair, Senior Class Officers: Lauren Pejza, Olivia Chandler and Jessie Musacchio for organizing and planning the event as well as the junior class volunteers who hosted the reception after the ceremony.

     
     
    Hello All Class of 2016 Parents,

    We would like to share some information with you about this special week.
     
    GRADUATION INFORMATION
     
    Schedule for Friday, June 10th - the Last Day of School and Graduation Day
     
    8-12:30 Last day of school and final exams
    12:30   Graduation practice for all seniors
    4:30  Students arrive for graduation
    5:30-6:30  Graduation Ceremony
    6:30 - 7:00  Family time on the field for photos and hugs
    7:00  students load the buses for Grad Night; go the carpool circle
    2:30am  Students return to Miramonte Parking Lot
     
    Family Arrival
    You and your family will want to arrive at school on graduation day in time to park, walk to the stadium and get your seat. It will be warm and water will be sold before the ceremony.
     
    Special Seating
    If you have an older guest or a disabled guest, please call the attendance office; we will have seating and parking lot transportation for these special guests.
     
    Post-Graduation Reception
    There will be sweets and beverages on the field after the ceremony for your enjoyment.
     
    GRAD NIGHT UPDATE

    DETAILS FOR GRAD NIGHT CELEBRATION
     
    Students - Please bring ID - MHS or Driver's License!!
     
    Bus Assignments
    The students will board the buses on a first come, first serve basis. There are seats for everyone, so line up at the first empty bus and hop on board.
     
    Water/Food
    Please no liquids or food on the bus. We will have water on the buses for the graduates to drink during the ride to the celebration.
     
    ALL bottles, cans, containers, whether open or not, WILL be confiscated
    before your student gets on the bus!! NO EXCEPTIONS. NO JOKE!
     
    What to Wear: Make it easy - Wear Grad Night play clothes under the robe and avoid the hassle of a clothing change after graduation. Bring a sweatshirt - part of the venue is outside. Cell phones are ok. No heels or bare feet. No backpacks or cinch bags. Small (very small) purses for the ladies are acceptable.
    There is  no secure place to store purses. There will be baskets for students to place their sweatshirts and other NON-valuable items. There is no need for money at the venue. Everything is free with your ticket price.
     
    ALL medications must be turned in at Grad Night Check-In BEFORE Boarding the bus: A prescription approval signed by parents must be on file with the Check-In Chairs in order to take any medications to Grad Night


    All prescription approvals must be cleared IN ADVANCE of the graduation ceremony with Gloria Kubitschek at kubiglo@comcast.net All medications must be in their original container.
     
    Return to Miramonte: Please be aware that the buses will likely not return to Miramonte before 2:30 am on June 11th. Please remind your student to be respectful of the campus and the surrounding communities as they make their way home.
     
    THE LOCATION REMAINS TOP SECRET!
    WE WILL REVEAL THAT SPECIAL INFORMATION TO PARENTS ONLY ON FRIDAY AFTER THE LAST FINAL EXAM. CHECK YOUR CONSTANT CONTACT AND THEN PLEASE KEEP IT A SECRET.
    This is particularly important for a safe event for our kids.

    Parent Advisers meet regularly with class officers and representatives to advise the leadership team on student fundraising and community service projects.


    Parent Advisers provide parents with information on class activities and events and with opportunities to connect as a parent community with class socials. They further support the class by arranging for parent volunteers to assist with activities such as T-shirt sales, carnival booths, Snack Shack, parent socials and other activities.


    Parent Advisers also help coordinate and track class fundraising efforts. The Class of 2016 will endeavor to raise about $60,000 over their four years at Miramonte to help fund class activities and to defray the expenses of Junior Prom, Senior Ball, Grad Night, and other graduation-related events. Most of the funds are earned from donations on the webstore, class socials, t-shirt sales, and football concessions.
